6 Session Poetry Workshop at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock!

oin Jessica M. Wilson in a six-session intergenerational poetry workshop exploring observation, memory and speaking your truth.This workshop will bring teens, adults, and seniors together in a conversation around placemaking and identity. Open to new and seasoned poets, this workshop is an opportunity to study poems, participate in critique, generate new work, and build community.

Jessica is a poet born in East Los Angeles. On top of her own prolific poetry practice, Jessica teaches with California Poets in the Schools and is the founder of the Los Angeles Poet Society.

When: Tuesdays from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
April 17 through May 22, 2018

Workshop Dates: April 17, April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22

Cost: $60 per student, $10 drop in

Please note: workshop fees are refundable up to 2 weeks prior to start date
and are subject to a 20% administrative fee.

Wilson from the Los Angeles Poet Society will help you remove barriers to your creative writing as we learn 3 tips to let your words flow, like water. We will embark on a journey in the world of the Human Document, better known as the Humument, where visual art and poetry collide! Come with an open mind and discover your creative expression through poetry.
